Austrian 100 Corona & Hungarian 100 Korona

Specs: Both the Hungarian 100 Korona and Austrian 100 Corona are minted of 900 fine (21.6 karat) gold, and each coin contains 0.98 ounce of gold.
These two gold coins are identical in every way except for the aesthetic design. The Austrian coin features Franz Joseph I's profile and the Hungarian coin has him standing, holding a sphere and a scepter. (Franz Joseph I was emperor of Austria from 1848-1916 and King of Hungary from 1867-1916).
These two gold coins are no longer being minted and therefore are no longer being promoted. For this reason, they are among the lowest-premium gold bullion coins available. Hungarian 100 Koronas are less common than the Austrian 100 Coronas. Sometimes a few 100 Korona will be included in an order of Austrian 100 Coronas. Dealers often do not distinguish between the two because they are essentially the same coin.
